About Inch House Kennels
We are a family run boarding kennels located on a farm on the southern side of Blackwater Village in Wexford. Inch House Kennels opened it’s doors in the Spring of 2006. Every year we have continuously improved our boarding kennels to the high standards that it is today.
As a family we have always loved dogs and they have always played a special part in our lives. This love for our four legged friends began in 70’s with a Springer Spaniel called Brandy. And the love of dogs continued from there. In the years that followed we have shared our lives with many beloved dogs. On arrival you will get to see our pack who have an adjoining pen in our kennels. Not to mention the ducks, chickens and pygmy goat, Boo.
The kennels is in caring hands of Kay with the help of her husband Al, family and staff. Kay will answer your call and take the time to answer any questions and concerns you may have. During your dogs stay in Inch House Kennels, we will spend quality time with them. We do this to help your dog settle so they are content, eating well and happy at all times. And most importantly, in the unlikely event that your dog is unwell our local vets is on call 24/7.
Inside the Kennels
There are 15 indoor kennels varying in size that are bright and airy so your dog has plenty of space. Each kennel has a tiled floor, a raised bed and a heat lamp for colder days and nights. Dogs that come together, stay together and for their safety, dogs do not mix with other dogs. And for exercise we have 6 large outdoor pens that your dog will spend a good part of their day in weather permitting.
We can also provide nutritious and high quality dry nuts and tinned food for your dog. But if your dog is on a special diet or you do not wish to change his diet we recommend to bring your own food. Dogs on medication whether injections or tablet form can be accommodated subject to temperament.
And in regards to bedding, we can provide a raised bed on which there is a dog bed and mat. You can also bring your dogs bedding and toys for more comfort. We supply food and water dishes.
